On 8 September 2006 Minsk held a round table of the International Assembly of Capitals and Large Cities (IAC) "Municipal Administration and Informatization: Look into the Future". The event was attended by heads and specialists from IAC member cities, cities of Republic of Belarus, heads and specialists of executive authorities and organizations of Moscow, heads of administration and specialists from municipal services of Minsk, and mass media.

The round table was chaired by B. Vasiliev, head of State Unitary Enterprise "Chief Production Office of Municipal Housing Economy of Minsk City ExecutiveCcommittee", research manager of IAC E-City Program, and Yu. Hohlov, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Information Society.
