On 30 August 2006 Government of Ryazan Region and Institute of the Information Society signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement aims at parties cooperation in the sphere of Information Society and Knowledge Economy development in Ryazan Region.

Under the agreement the parties plan to work together in the following areas:

Supporting regional legislative and regulatory basis for ICT and innovations application for socio-economic development of Ryazan Region;

Development of strategic, program and project documents, carrying out project expert review in the context of Information Society and Knowledge Economy development;

Carrying out joint seminars, research conferences, working meetings and other events contributing to large-scale implementation of ICT and innovations for the socio-economic development in the region; and

Improving specialists qualification in the sphere of ICT application.
