Within the framework of Agreement on Cooperation signed in March 2006 by the Academy of National Economy and Institute of the Information Society leading specialists of IIS developed a professional training program Government and Public IT Management.

The need in such program appeared in connection with the administrative reform currently underway in Russia. The prerequisite of this reform is efficient use of ICT in public and local authorities. The main hindrance, as the experience shows, lies in insufficient qualification of the governmental officials, and the new program aims at resolving this problem.

The estimated program time is over 500 hours, which complies with the governmental standard applied to professional retraining programs that award their graduates a governmental certificate. One of the program advantages is its module structure allowing to organize the training process flexibly and comfortably, as well as supply the program with new modules if necessary, taking into account actual needs of different governmental structures.

The program is unique and does not have analogs in Russia. It employs advanced international and domestic experience and is based on theory and analysis of practice. The program used experience of retraining IT specialists accumulated by the Academy of National Economy, which adds to its expected success.

The training will be conducted on the basis of the School of IT Management of the Academy of National Economy, which represents the unique Russian training and retraining center for highly qualified IT directors and specialists.
