On 7 April 2006 Ivanovo city held working meeting on e-development of Ivanovo region. The meeting participants discussed results of implementing the regional target program Informatization of Ivanovo Region for years 2004-2007 and outlooks for adopting information and communication technologies for the region's successful socio-economic development, improving production efficiency in the key spheres of Ivanovo region, and improving life quality in the region.

The meeting was attended by Mikhail Men, governor of Ivanovo region; Konstantin Bocharov, head of the governor's office, and Vladimir Sokov, head of Department of Economic Development and Trade of Ivanovo Region. The meeting discussed problems of the Information Society development in the region. Among the meeting participants there were representatives of the Institute of the Information Society: Stepan Orlov, member of IIS Supervisory Board; Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of IIS Board, and Tatiana Ershova, IIS General Director.
