On 13 March 2006 Kazan held meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Republic of Tatarstan dedicated to priority projects in the sphere of informatization of executive public authorities in Republic of Tatarstan for 2006. The meeting participants witnessed presentations by Farid Fazylzyanov, Minister of Informatization and Communications of Republic of Tatarstan, Alexander Yurtaev, Deputy Head of the Working Group on Coordination of E-Government Introduction in Republic of Tatarstan, and Yuri Hohlov, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of the Information Society (presentation E-Government: Approaches to Development, pdf. 165 Kb.).

The meeting participants discussed issues concerning implementation of the E-Tatarstan program and comprehensive project E-Government in Republic of Tatarstan, as well as such projects as State Integrated Telecommunications System (SITS), Information and Analytical System of Public Authorities (IAS PA), System of Electronic Documentation flow, Governmental Gateway of the RT, and Call-centre.

Summarizing the meeting, R.Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of Republic of Tatarstan, acknowledged the importance of increasing information openness of all public authorities for citizens and particularly stressed the need to intensify introducing e-Document workflow in ministries.
